What does it mean to host a conference call?
The conference host is essentially the person who organizes and schedules the conference call. This person selects the conference access code, date, and the time of the call. The host can enter this information at the "Organize a Conference Call" page and an email will automatically be sent to all conference call participants with instructions.

How do I host a conference call?
The only thing you need to do to organize and initiate your cheap conference call using FreeBridge is to follow the steps below:

  • Select a seven-digit access code. We recommend using the last seven digits of a phone number that will be familiar to the participants.
  • Select a convenient date and time for your cheap conference call. FreeBridge is available for use 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
  • Distribute the access code, the date and time of the conference call, and the Free Bridge telephone number to the conference participants. You can do this manually, or you can simply visit the "Organize a Conference Call" page. Once you enter the data above, an email will be sent to all of your invitees with instructions for use. We will send a second email reminder to the call participants two hours before the call.
  • While it's not necessary, we do recommend that the conference host be the first person into the conference. To "establish" the FreeBridge cheap conference call, just dial the FreeBridge number a few minutes before the time of the scheduled conference, select option 2, and enter your access code.

Are there any hidden costs or other charges?
No. FreeBridge is a FREE of any fee for the use of the teleconferencing service. Each participant will, however, be charged by their long distance provider for the applicable cost of a long distance call to the FreeBridge access number. If you are using web conferencing services provided by another company in tandem with FreeBridge, you may be billed by the provider of that service. However, no charges will be incurred for the audio portion of the call by TeleJunctions.com.

What happens if I get disconnected from the conference?
Simply dial back into the conference bridge, press 2, and enter your access code (followed by pound - #). You will join the conference again. This is unrelated to any web conferencing services that you may be connected to.

How do I hang up the conference call?
When you are ready to leave the conference, simply hang up. FreeBridge will keep the conference open from the time the first person enters the cheap conference call bridge to the moment the last person hangs up.

Is the voice quality just like it is with a two party call?
More or less. All conference systems degrade to some (limited) degree, depending on the number of conference participants, due to the accumulation of background noise and other factors. If a participant of a cheap conference call uses a degraded international or other noisy circuit, his/her voice will certainly sound less distinct than local conferees or callers entering via higher quality circuits. Assuming all factors equal though, conference quality does not degrade substantially with multiple participants.

Can I have a unique FreeBridge access telephone number?
No. For security purposes and to maximize our conference bridging resources, we distribute a variety of different access numbers to our users, but we do not allocate one number per user.

Do you have a toll free access number for when I'm traveling?
No, but we may offer this service in the future. In the meantime, we suggest using a pre or post paid calling card, or mobile phone. Following your calling card dialing guidelines, call the FreeBridge access number as you would any other U.S. telephone number. Enter your FreeBridge access code then begin or join the conference.

How do I get a FreeBridge access number?
If you were informed about Free Bridge through a promotion or marketing campaign about cheap conference call opportunities, follow the instructions provided. If you found us through internet search engines, you can request a FreeBridge telephone number yourself. We do recommend, however, that you should speak to your telecom or office manager. They typically know which cheap conference call service your company uses. If your company isn't already using FreeBridge, encourage the person in charge of selecting your teleconferencing service to request an access telephone number using the form provided on our website. I am locked into a usage agreement with another provider...how do I use FreeBridge without compromising my agreement?
It depends. Agreements with other cheap conference call providers are generally based on the aggregated usage of all business applications. If, for example, you buy long distance, web conferencing services, internet service, and teleconferencing from one company, it is very likely that you will meet your volume requirements without the teleconferencing usage. FreeBridge offers a substantial discount. Be sure to do the math before you eliminate FreeBridge as an option.

Are calls monitored or recorded?
No. Your calls are secure. They are not being monitored or recorded.

Am I supposed to hear a chirp when someone enters the conference?
Yes. For security reasons, we have inserted a very polished "beep" sound that signals the entrance of each conference call participant. This also allows the conference host to have a good idea of how many participants have arrived to the conference room. This does not impact any web conferencing services being used in tandem with Free Bridge.

Do I have to register my PIN to use FreeBridge?
You do not have to register the PIN in any way!

Can Free Bridge be used with web conferencing services?
